Bio:

Asher Stone is the bastard born son of Lord Eventide half brother to Elend Eventide. From a young age he showed a proficiency for hunting and a distaste for matters of nobility. He spent much of his childhood sneaking around the castle and getting into mischief.

Knowing Asher would never be the heir to Shadowmoor, Lord Eventide sent him to the Free Cities to train with a master ranger and former assassin, Balin Durso. Under his tutelage Asher became a expert in marksmanship, both with the bow and with throwing knives. He also learned the art of healing potions. Everything Durso taught came easily to young Asher.

He soon became bored with his training and longed to learn the more deceptive arts. His master finally agreed and started his training in stealth and sleight of hand. Asher’s night eyes were the best his master has ever seen. But because of a tragic accident which had killed his wife and maimed his son years earlier, Durso had vowed never use poisons again.

Asher, insistent on learning poisons, decided to take matters into his own hands. He started venturing into the dark underbelly of the Free Cities at night learning what he could from various lowlifes, criminals, and would be assassins. But this education was a poor substitute for the training of an expert assassin. None the less, Asher’s knowledge in poisons grew quite a bit.

One night Asher was trying to mix a particularly difficult poison from a recipe he had stolen from Durso’s personal files. The ingredients were of a poor quality and when Asher combined them they created a violent explosion. He received extensive burn damage to his lower face. Although his injuries were not life threatening, the scarring on his face was permanent and horrific.

Asher blamed Durso for his accident because he had refused to train him properly. Asher decided he had to kill Durso for his sins. He knew this kill would be his ultimate test, the pinnacle of all his years of training. The student would finally become the master. However when he finally made the kill it was rather disappointing. Asher easily placed an arrow in Durso’s open and astonished mouth.

After years away, Asher finally returned home to castle Shadowmoor. He quickly became a valued member of House Eventide, applying his unique brand of skills whenever they were they were needed.
